Salaryman Overview
Salaryman is Kento Nanami's epithet — a B-tier methodical bruiser built around Ratio Technique crit windows, Black Flash burst, Collapse rock drops, and Overtime awakening. He rewards patience more than flashy receipt cycling or domain lockdown.
The Register / Hanami content window gave Nanami a visible Collapse timer/tooltip so rock timing is readable instead of pure feel. That small QoL change is the biggest reason returning Nanami mains should reopen the Style.
Base Kit
Ratio Technique sets up critical hits when you strike the weak point — the fantasy is deliberate, not spammy. Black Flash converts clean confirms into burst. Collapse drops rocks on a delay; watch the new timer so you land the hit as the rocks resolve instead of guessing.
Overtime awakening enhances Ratio and Black Flash consistency. Activate when you already have a confirm or when the opponent's evasive is down — Nanami does not invent free approaches the way Honored One Lapse Blue does.
Recommended Combos
Standard route: Ratio → Black Flash → Collapse → Overtime Awakening. Use Collapse after a knockdown or when the timer lines up with a blocked opponent's respect window.
Practice Collapse reads in a private server until the tooltip feels automatic. In public Shinjuku, third parties love to steal rock confirms — angle Collapse near walls or after creating space.
Matchups After the Recent Patches
Against Register, do not respect every receipt equally — punish skipped cycles when they fish for Piano Drop. Against Disaster Plants, never stand still inside Shining Sea of Growing Branches hoping Ratio saves you; dash out before the sure-hit locks options.
Salaryman stays B-tier because S-tier zoning and domain kits outpace his neutral. He remains excellent for players who like readable timings and Overtime grind rather than gamble or parasite meters.
